Trip Report

Old Robe Canyon — Saturday, Jul. 2, 2016

North Cascades > Mountain Loop Highway
Pretty bend on the initial trail descent...
Lovely hike with a friend. Obstacles were mainly trees across trail that you can step over, but a few areas where you have to work to get over big trees; challenging for short-legged people like myself. :) We didn't venture beyond the trail to the tunnels; didn't seem safe. Lots of dragonflies and darning needles (or I guess they are damselflies). Lots of pretty little wildflowers and really beautiful places to stop and view the river.
I think this is a Long-tailed Skimmer dragonfly
The Polyphemus moth??
