On the evening of the 4th, I hiked from Sunrise to Dege Peak and then down to Sunrise Point. The whole trail is snow-free except for one or two tiny little patches.
Views from the top were great, and I was tempted to go to Sunrise Lake, but I started very late. I walked back along the road and got to see a bear cub cross the road and climb a tree. Thankfully, I never encountered mama bear :)
