Panjab Trail — Wednesday, Jul. 13, 2016

Eastern Washington > Palouse and Blue Mountains
Only a few blown down trees in the half mile or so before Indian Corral, but they were easy enough to get around. Lots of wildflowers. Thimbleberries are starting to ripen. It was a 2500-foot climb over 5 miles (i.e. about 10 miles round trip) but the grade is generally reasonable.

Mileage?

Hi there! Just wanted to check with you about the mileage. The top of the page for this hike says that it is a 5.6 mile RT hike...meaning that it would be a 2500 ft elevation gain in something less than 3 miles! However, you mentioned that it is actually a 2500 ft gain over 5 miles...much more reasonable. So does WTA need to update that? Will be heading up to do a Panjab/Indian Corral/Oregon Butte/Turkey Creek loop Aug. 10. Don't know the area but topo map concurs with your mileage and gain.
