North Cascades > Mount Baker Area
Yellow Aster Butte by Guido, Goober & Titan
One of my first hikes and still one of my all time favorites. A great hike up on a cool Saturday morning, and got to watch an awesome WTA work party in action putting in new stuff in the middle of a mud filled muckfest. Marmots everywhere, most everyone had dogs on leash, and Puppy Flapjack did great. 3 hours up with photo delay, 2 hours down. Love this trail.

Dogs

I was also impressed with the good-dog behavior up there this weekend. Not so for the dog owners that left their dog poop bagged on the side of the trail, though. How anyone thinks it's okay to leave this kind of litter on the trail, even temporarily, just amazes me. Never saw this before a couple years ago and now people are doing it everywhere.
