Sheep Lake to Sourdough Gap — Saturday, Jul. 23, 2016

Mount Rainier Area > Chinook Pass - Hwy 410

This is such an amazing hike with great views and blooming wild flowers on a very well maintained trail that is never too steep. Lots of opportunities to do different hikes as this trail connects with a few other trails including the PCT. I recommend continuing several hundred feet beyond Sourdough gap to get to a great view of Crystal Lake and Mt. Rainier. Very family friendly and dog friendly as we saw many families and dogs on the trail. The dogs loved the lake! Highly recommend this hike, especially when the skies are clear!
