Artist Ridge - Huntoon Point, Picture Lake — Saturday, Jul. 30, 2016

North Cascades > Mount Baker Area

This is my first time at Mount Baker, and I wanted something simple as the three hour drive there wouldn't motivate me to do much. I read about Artist Ridge-Huntoon point, and it fit the bill. Although, not really a hike for us aggressive outdoors type, but an amazing short walk to the ridge. I wanted something easy with gorgeous views, and this delivered. I wanted to avoid the spill of people doing a slow, leisurely stroll on the trail so I practically jogged up to the top this hike was so easy. 360 views of both Mount Baker and Mount Shuksan, and cute little tarns along the way. Great for families with small children, and definitely a photographer's paradise. I also stopped by Picture Lake on the way, but didn't do the whole loop, and just went past the bridge a little to take photos.
