Trip Report

Lord Hill Regional Park — Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area
English Pond.
I arrived at Lord Hill Park around 11:30 AM and the parking lot was nearly full. There were a number of families out hiking and looking for Pokémon this morning. Hiked some familiar trails around Temple Pond and tried out the newish English Pond and Golden Eye trails. All of the trails are in great shape right now with only a little mud in places and no obstacles of note. There are several new trails around Temple Pond that are not named at this point but appear to circle around the north side of the pond to connect existing trails on either side of the pond to form a complete loop. Saw lots of little animals along the way and was fortunate enough to lock eyes with a pair of black tailed deer as they were out foraging for food. Got back to my car around 3:30 after roughly a six mile loop.

Ready made campfire along the Golden Eye trail.
