Lord Hill Regional Park — Friday, Sep. 2, 2016

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area
Love this trail. We have been through twice and both times did the Beaver Lake trail. Once you take the walk from the trail head down the kinda steepish grade into the park...remember as you go that it's a cool descent into the park but coming out...makes it all uphill. So keep that in mind for the end of your walk. But you can do what we do and just take our time and stop here and there, it's no big. This is a great trail walk. Cool...quiet...lots of foliage and old growth. Lots of places to stop if you need to. Met lots of other hikers here and there but not so many we didn't feel still alone in the park most of the time. I love getting out and into the old growth here and variety of trees and feeling dirt under my feet...this park gives us all of that.
