Sheep Lake to Sourdough Gap — Sunday, Sep. 4, 2016

Mount Rainier Area > Chinook Pass - Hwy 410

This hike is great for everyone! We had fantastic weather all day and a few sprinkles on our way back. The hike along the HWY offered some great views which only got better as you arrived at Sheep Lake and continued the climb to Sourdough Gap. We saw a marmot and had chipmunks that wanted to steal crumbs from our lunch. Several great view points on the way to enjoy sweeping views of the valleys below. We enjoyed lunch at Sourdough Gap and then came back down to the lake to play a bit before heading home. Great little hike and we'll be back!
