We hiked this trail on Sunday with our dog and really enjoyed the short but challenging trek. A few things to note for future hikers is the road on the way up to the trailhead and the sign for the trailhead.
About 1.4 miles from the trail we found ourselves having to park on the side of the road and hike the rest of the way up to the trailhead due to rough terrain. We drove our honda civic and worried that the large rocks would scrape the bottom of our car. This rougher part of the road is only about 50 feet long and seemed to be washed out at one point. Though we chose to park to the side, there were several other vehicles that proceeded on the road. Some vehicles smaller than ours. Up to you!
As for the trailhead sign, we walked passed it and had to walk back again until we noticed a small sign which I have included a picture of. Just keep your eyes peeled!
The walk from the car took us about half an hour to the trailhead, and another hour up to the peak. Definitely challenging but totally worth it for the views!
