Poo Poo Point - Chirico Trail — Sunday, Sep. 18, 2016

Issaquah Alps > Tiger Mountain
New Trailhead
I hope someone found their keys on the railing of the Many Creeks Valley bridge. (See photo below) Since parking is always a problem any more, parked at the high school, walked the road to Chirico Trail (wish they would put a sidewalk in). Guess it has been awhile since I hiked there as I headed to the usual trailhead and discovered it was covered in branches. Noticed folks entering at the north end of the landing site at a new trailhead.....wonder if there had been too many near misses with paragliders trying to land while hikers were trying to reach the trailhead. Also discovered a new switchback before reaching the south launch. Previously it weaved back and forth across the straight up section of trail the paragliders appear to prefer and was quite eroded. So this was a nice improvement. Continued on to the Poo Poo Point Trail and then the High School Trail and back to the car. Although too cloudy to see Baker and Rainier, hike was pleasant with nice temperatures. But a little slick from yesterday's rain coming back down.
Taking off from the south launch today
Somebody's lost keys left on the railing to the Many Creeks Valley bridge
