I was starting to feel some mushroom envy looking at recent trail reports and decided to go on a treasure hunt of my own. The trail is in great shape. It gets pretty muddy on the Red Barn trail, maybe from horses, but I was able to hop around the squishy slick spots. I spent about 2 hours walking in the woods. Saw a gazillion mushrooms, all shapes and sizes. I heard lots of frogs and birds along the way. Not many people until I got back to the main line close to the parking lot.
