Scorpion Mountain via Johnson Ridge — Friday, Nov. 4, 2016

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West
Heading out on the Johnson Ridge Trail
Hiked out Johnson Ridge to Scorpion Mountain. The trail was in good shape with only one remaining blowdown that was easy to step over. There were a few soggy sections on the trail, but nothing too bad. As you approach the top of Sunrise Mountain, you will encounter some snow on the trail. Traction devices are not needed. The summit of Scorpion Mountain was completely snow covered but the trail was compact and easy to walk on. Going off trail, you could sink a few inches into the snow, but it's barely worth noting. I'm sure there will be more snow after this weekend.
