Trip Report

Deception Creek — Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West
Great time of year for mushroom hunting!
Very muddy and slippery hike, but it was expected as it was pouring the day before our hike. There was only 1 other person on the trail all day. Tons of mushrooms to look for. There was only 1 area towards the last mile of the hike where there are two downed trees, but they were easy to pass. Passing the camping area, we passed the falls (amazing), and continued a bit further. The trail picked up on the incline. We decided to turn back, as today was daylight savings, so it was getting dark at 3. Great hike for a rainy day for sure!
Lots of water flowing the creek due to the rains. Beautiful!
The first bridge we crossed was definitely the most interesting on the hike.
