Beutiful day to #OptOutside. Got to the trail head at 725am only 2 other cars in the lot. Took the 2nd junction on boulder garden loop. There were a few spots of deep mud on the trail. I was just wearing regular trail running shoes and my feet staid dry. Otherwise trail was in great shape. this is definitely harder than the new SI trail. Made it to the top by 915am. BEWARE the wind chill and ice at the top. If you plan on enjoying the view, pack some layers. Rocks on the East side of the mountain were covered in ice, almost no snow accumulation. The birds were very hungry but not a nuisance. I love how they coo. Spent 20min soaking up the view took the pup off leash to play in what snow was there. Leashed him up then headed back. Make sure and watch out for the right turn on the way down, i almost missed it. Took a left at the boulder garden trail sign to finish the loop. My feet did get a little wet on this section of the trail lots of water run off and mud. Didn't care though because I was almost back. Ran in to a few people on the way back, lots of unleashed dogs. Lot was full including overflow at 11am.
