Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

great day out - sun and snow!. There is a lot of snow, maybe 6-8 inches on the upper 2-3km of the road and the whole trail. The drive up has a well-worn tire track with only a thin layer of ice in it today. Generally good traction, but I did have to use 4WD when I lost momentum to share the road with an oncoming vehicle. The trail was perfect. Well-worn foot path on crunchy powder. Not slippery, easy to navigate, stunning scenery. I never even got out the micro-spikes.
