We arrived at the TH@ 8:30 today. Road and parking lot were plowed. Any type of car can make it in. Trail is nicely boot packed up to junction with talapus lake connector trail. Boots only, boots with micro spikes or snowshoes will get you that far. Snowshoes are preferred from that point on. Followed the Pratt lake trail to the north side of Olallie lake where the trail to Pratt disappeared with the recent snow. A group had blazed a trail due north up to the ridge line from the point where the Pratt trail ended. Followed that up and then South-East along the ridge line generally in the direction of Granite mtn. The views were amazing and well worth the burning feeling in my legs. Spent about 30 minutes following this trail before heading back down. 2.5 hrs up to that point and about 90 minutes down.
