Opted out of Black Friday shopping and took my two small dogs out on the trail! No rain, no wind, great day to be out there!
We arrived at the lot around 10am and the it was PACKED! No place to park! I circled the lot 3-4 times and finally found someone leaving, and got their spot! This trail does tend to get VERY busy - and a holiday weekend is no exception! The trail was in good shape, a little muddy in spots but entirely passable with little problem! No obstacles, and piles not needed! Started out at the trailhead around 10:30, made it to the top in an hour. My dogs are really tiny so we went at their speed! Made it to the top by 12:15, spent a good 30-40 minutes taking in the view and having some lunch, back to the car by 1:30! Glad we hit the trail today rather than the shopping mall! Felt great to get outside!
