A great blood-pumper to break up the last leg back to PA of my weekend drive around the Peninsula. A little longer and steeper than I thought it would be but a fun jaunt up to the top. Was way too rainy and foggy to get any views but I for one am a huge fan of staring out into the vast ambiguous gray.
A few minor blowdowns but none too tough too cross. The smallest, most minor remnants of the previous week's snow began to appear in the last stretch of trail before the top. The kiosks, lookout railings, and picnic tables had a dusting of snow on them but nothing worth worrying about for hiking conditions.
