The Mica Peak Summit trail is an interesting one. It is actually an old, no longer used logging road that isn't entirely an official trail yet. Last I heard the trail was completely unmarked, however when I arrived the trail did have a map at the trailhead as well as marked, directional posts at the beginning portion of the trail. The entire Mica Peak area is perfect for a solid day-hike with a decent workout included. Its a great area for dogs as there is quite a bit of open space and there weren't too many other people there, at least when I went. Just be mindful that this trail is very close to some private property so just keep an eye out for the signs. I would recommend this trail to anyone looking for a good day-hike that's not incredibly far from Spokane, and has some great scenery. Happy trails!
