Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area

I always wanted to go to catch all the cherries and magnolias blooming, but seem to always miss them. Not this year! We timed it perfectly, all the cherries were blooming, half the magnolias, most of the camellias still have blooms, hillsides of hellebores(winter roses) and tons of other things. Did you know there is a tree in the winter garden with flowers that smell like chocolate!?! It's blooming now and amazing. It was a little confusing with half the trails and entrances blocked, but we parked at the Japanese garden and read the detour signs.
