Today was a wonderful day for this hike-and we weren't alone in these thoughts, because this trail was pretty crowded mid-day!
DIRECTIONS
The directions on WTA are correct. From Seattle, you take exit 38, turn right and cross the bridge, then another right into Olallie State Park to the parking lot at the bathrooms.
TRAIL
The trail currently is snow free for just about a mile and a half, then the snow just builds and builds. At the top there's at least 5 feet of snow.
The trail is pretty easy to follow, especially now as it's been packed down by the 20+ people that did this trail today.
I wore trail runners, and my two friends wore boots. We didn't need microspikes the whole way up, but put them on promptly before coming back down.
I used Strava to track distance and elevation; came in at 8.1 miles and 3300 feet of elevation
TIMELINE
8:30 am--left the TH
11:00 am--reached the top
***2.5 hour ascent
11:10 am--began the descent (pretty cold up top! socked in)
12:40 pm--back at the TH
***1.5 hour descent
Overall, it was a great day outside!
Felt like Spring, but looked like Winter.

Eduard Baba on Mount Washington
Hello. Thank you very much for the posted report. Would you be so kind to post your Strava trip breadcrumbs or gpx file for this route? I will attempt it in two weeks. I just did Ellinor yesterday and upon seeing Mt. Washington literally a couple of miles away, it itched me to try it. Also for the last 200-feet, what was the trail condition like? How steep do you think that last bit of ascent was with the snow?

Unfortunately, either the trip report poster or the WTA website is tagging this with the wrong Mt Washington. This report is for the easy hike-up Mt Washington, a few miles East of North Bend, in the I-90 corridor region of the Cascades.
I sincerely doubt the Olympics Mt Washington, a few miles from Mt Ellinor, is a viable climb yet.
