Drove down Friday evening to sleep at parking lot on the first day of permit season. Make sure you follow the detour signs to get to Cougar or you'll add about an hour to get to Marble Mountain Sno Park. Snow on the first step from the trailhead. It rained the entire day, but the snow was in great condition with decent give. Microspikes or snowshoes are fine, crampons above 7,000ft recommended. We turned back at around 7,300ft due to wind gusting upwards of 40mph and zero visibility. Inside of a ping pong ball and dangerous trying to relocate the boot tracks.
