Umtanum Ridge Crest — Sunday, Apr. 2, 2017

A great day for the east side! We arrived to a nearly empty parking lot around 10am, and hiked the ridge trail. A few flowers are starting to come out and the grass is getting greener. Except for a strong and gusty wind, it was a perfect day. After topping out on the ridge, we hiked the dirt road to the next knoll about a mile further along then headed back down to the intersection by the parking lot. The second half of the trip was less successful. The canyon trail dead ends at the river around a mile into the hike.
