First mile was simply muddy and watery conditions. Needed to traverse about two downed tree's one contained minimal snow. Certain trails consisted of slide conditions so take your time. The middle portion opened up to some rocky trails beautiful sights of the mountain ranges. Remnants of a large mud slide a few weeks ago required you to again get over a few trees on the trail.
Snow began around the 2.1 mile stretch and did consist of compacted wet, slippery snow. Tones of hikers in both hiking boots, running shoes etc. I did not see anyone with micro's although if you have them it would certainly make life easier but not required. Trek carefully as the snow is beginning to melt.
Top was gorgeous, with some people still walking on the lake it self. Portions of the lake are melted away so trek at your own risk.
