See first picture to see where the trailhead starts. It's just past the lower lot to mailbox peak. Apparently there is a cut through that shaves a few miles off the trail, but we think the construction crews were blocking it. Trail is great up until when the trail splits. Right leads you down to granite lakes, left leads you to Thompson lake/revolution peak. Go left towards Thompson. This split is where the snow starts, and is about 5 miles in, 3000 ft elevation. Since this is an old logging road there is not tree cover.. and therefore a lot of snow the whole way up. About 7 miles in we hit the turnoff to Thompson lake. See the second photo to see the amount of snow at this point. It was very deep and sloshy. Ended up turning around at this point due to time constraints. Good luck!
