Didn't have time for the full hike so just went out for an hour or so on the way back to Seattle from Plain. Some blow downs and soupy parts in the trail, but otherwise fine shape up to and just above the waterfall. Even though we only went a mile in, this was a great leg stretcher and we can't wait to come back and do the whole hike. Once you clear the scrubby brushy parts in the first 1/2 - 3/4 mile, there are gorgeous views back over Lake Wenatchee and the valley south of the lake, as well as the pretty little waterfall. Main purpose of writing a trip report on a barely-completed hike: the ticks were GNARLY. Our dog was covered when we got back to the car, and we've been picking them off of her for 2 hours as they rise to the surface of her hair. We saw a note at the trailhead about this and were on watch, so this is a +1 to make sure you're keeping an eye out.
