A beautiful, sunny, 80º day on the Baker River trail was just what I needed to pull myself out of the winter slump. The trailhead is easy to find and the trail is well maintained the whole way through. Loved weaving and winding through the forest and onto the river's edge. Next time I'm bringing my dog.
At the campsite we found shavings from what appeared to be a deer. In it was some scat. We noticed some cameras on the trail and some exciting scratch marks on a cluster of trees. Fun to feel the presence of critters all around.
