Headed out this morning @ 9:00 am from the trailhead. The parking lot and camping area were quite busy, but the trail was surprisingly empty on the way up. The trail has quite a few downed trees for first 6 miles but are very easy to navigate over. The real fun starts after the Nordrum/Snoqualamie junction. There are quite a few large downed trees blocking the trail. It's certainly passable - more of an annoyance than anything. The water is running quite high at times. Eventually, we grew tired of rock hopping (and failing) that we just started walking through. It was definitely hotter than we expected, especially considering there is snow up at the lake. Bring plenty of water or a filter as there is abundant water along the trail. There is intermittent snow on the last 1/8th of the trail or so. Once you reach the lake it becomes consistent snow. We stopped for lunch at the beginning of the lake and then headed back. Overall, it was a great hike.
