Road is open! I got lost last year trying to find high rock, this year I used the app waze. I searched national forest road 84 , then when I got there I searched high rock, I knew route through 85 was too rough. Lots of potholes but what else would you expect. All the mountains were visible including Mount hood in Oregon. This hike makes you feel like you are on top of the world. I took two people how have never experienced the straight up high rock trail. They did not like the climb but were very excited at the top .
