Headed up to investigate the snow level.... Trail through the trees after switchbacks was hard to find due to snow if you have never done the hike before, but we followed the general direction until we popped out onto the clear hill. Wearing stiff hiking boots it was no problem to kick out steps. We had lunch just above the fork for tomyhoi lakes and decided to turn around because we did not bring crampons or ice tools. Snow was solid though and with the right tools it would have been a fun summit! Bring sunglasses - the snow is BRIGHT
