My two friends and I set out for a sunset hike yesterday evening around 6pm. The road to the trail was a windy, gravel road, but no major potholes or problem areas. There was a gradual incline to the trail, but not too tough. We did notice quite a few mosquitoes and sustained a few bites, but they weren't too prevelant at the summit. There are a few trees down across the trail, but nothing impassable or difficult to climb over. There is also still a tiny bit of snow near the summit, but it was mostly melted and a little bit muddy.
We reached the summit about 30-45 min before sunset. We enjoyed our snacks while lounging on the rocks and taking in the 360° mountain views. Sunset was well worth the wait and also cut down on any crowds. I would love to come back and camp around here. Highly recommended day hike!
