I decided to go for an overnight to Image Lake, starting at the Suiattle River Trail. The road is in excellent condition; its gravel with some significant potholes towards the end but should be navigable to all vehicles. The trail itself is in excellent condition with no blowdowns or difficult sections. Its completely snow free and the lake is melted out.
The hike starts on the Suiattle River Trail, then moves to the PCT for a few miles, and then eventually to the Miner's Ridge trail. There aren't really any views until you get to the ridge unfortunately, around 14 miles in.
There aren't many campsites, but there is a large group camp area with many sites available down the hill a bit from the main area. The lake is amazing, but be prepared for bugs. So many bugs.
The full report and photos are available at the link.
