Reading the reports, I was nervous to come up, but the trail is 98% free of snow(except for one very very small section you can hike around. The views were amazing up there with many people camping at the top (10 in total). The road is clear and I made it up with my Kia Sportage, but I wouldn't recommend much lower of a vehicle. No ice axe required and the trail is very easy to navigate right now.
