The snow is melting out fast up there.
Nothing terribly challenging of note on the trail itself. The snow is either soft or small icy pellets. Neither of us elected to use either microspikes or crampons.
Water is something of an issue with next to no running water past Morrison Creek - despite what the rangers might tell you. I ended up "mining" some water a little above Pikers - wasn't really necessary but made me more comfortable to top up.
Several of the glissade chutes are looking pretty nasty with rather large exposed rocks in them so be careful. It's still very possible to glissade all the way down past lunch counter for the moment as long as your mindful.
Also take note of where you reenter the rock fields descending past Lunch Counter. We had too much fun glissading and ended up one snow-chute over. An easy fix when we caught it but could have been more problematic.
We were about 5 hours up, including breaks to lie in the snow and 2 hours down, including an accidental off trail deviation.
All in all a great climb.

Aye, 5 hours from Cold Springs. I think our total breakdown was about 2 hours from trailhead to Lunch Counter, 2 hours from Lunch Counter to Pikers, and 1 hour to summit. Then 2 hours down.
