Anderson and Watson Lakes — Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017

North Cascades > Mount Baker Area
Smokey sunrise

Reporting as a member of the WTA Back-Country Response Team to Watson Lakes, we spent four days brushing, grubbing tread, culvert cleaning, and doing drainage work to improve this trail to a great lake destination.  We worked through the heat, humidity, bugs, and smoke, to make this accessible trail a better hike.  The bugs were vicious but a dip in the lake at the end of the day, delightful.  It's a short, sweet hike, great for a day or overnight.  Go check it out, take a dip in the lake, and say thanks to WTA for everything they do for our trails.
