Heather - Maple Pass Loop — Friday, Aug. 11, 2017

Great hike! I only wish we had started earlier in the day. Parking lot was full when we arrived but there is plenty of space to park on side of the hwy. We got on the trail about 1:00 and it was pretty hot. Bugs were only bad when we stopped for breaks and even then they weren't horrible. We traveled counter clockwise which is a little rough on the knees when coming down. I think next time I would start earlier and go other direction. Pack water, after Lake Ann I only saw one other water source. It was about a 4 hour hike with our stop at Lake Ann and a few snack breaks.
