We started the trail by Maidenhair Falls in a small turn-out area labeled "Wynoochee Lake Shore Trail". We got almost a mile through quite a few areas that we had to detour around downed trees, push through overgrown vegetation and encountered a rather LARGE wasp nest that is at eye level and hidden behind some overgrown brush I was gently pushing aside RIGHT over the trail! I got out of there as fast as I could and took some of the overgrown brush as I booked it!! BE CAREFUL!
