The hike to the top of Hamilton is a very scenic one for sure. The falls area is beautiful. I especially enjoyed the Pool of the Winds, it is a great example of nature's creativity. When you get to the trail junction past the falls, there are no longer signs with the designation of "More Difficult/Difficult" as the hike description currently reads. They are simply labeled as Hamilton Mountain and Hardy Creek. The trail has many exposed cliff areas which offer fabulous views of the Columbia River, Beacon Rock, and Bonneville Dam. Once at the top you can easily view Mount Adams and the top of Mt. Hood. Looking east you can also see the original Bridge of the Gods created by the Bonneville landslide. Overall, this is a great day hike with varied terrain and wonderfully scenic views.
