This was a fun hike. We went counter clockwise, which is uphill for a long ways. The trail is in good condition, although there was a lot of dust coming down. I imagine it will be really muddy after the 1st rain. There was 1 log over the trail, but it was easy to cross. some rocky areas but nothing hard. No problems with bugs.
The views are spectacular along the ridge. You can see snow caped mountains in 360 degree views. Clear lakes from high above.
