Arrived at the parking lot around 10:15 am on a Wednesday with plenty of parking (multiple huge lots). The lake was serene and beautiful. I had very limited time so pushed myself to hike hard up the continuous incline. I'm slowly getting into shape and was amazed to make it the 1.9 miles to the top in 50 minutes. The forest was mostly younger trees so I didn't mind rushing through. The advantage of the young forest was you could see the mountains off in the distance much of the hike. The trial was partially shaded with folks of all ages and abilities, though it is a continuous upward climb. The view at the top was beautiful and I wish I'd had time to stay but it was time to head back to Seattle to pick up my kiddo. I made it down in 35 min and back to the city in 45 min.
