Did this as an afternoon hike. Started hiking up around 5:30pm. Got to the trailhead and there were only a few cars. As we were hiking up, we saw maybe three small groups of people hiking hiking down. The only other person we saw was camping at the top. The trail is really well maintained. Most of the trail is fairly wide as well. My group did the hike down in the dark with our headlamps, and it was really nice not to have to traverse any obstacles. Thanks for the bridge! The top was beautiful and fun to explore. Someone went for a swim, said the water was warm-ish. I think I believe them. We hung out at the top for a while, snacked, and hiked back down in time to catch the most amazing sunset, and clear views of Mt. Rainier. Great hike, and hope to do it again and add on the extensions to Bandera or Defiance.
