Franklin Ghost Town — Thursday, Sep. 14, 2017

My daughter and I did a mother daughter hike to the franklin coal mine ghost town. it was a great hike to the coal mine itself but any further than that the trail was very narrow and had many obstacles such as logs and hanging prickly bushs that part of the trail to the cemetary would not be suitable for children but it was really cool to find all the gravestones through out the area further past the mine. when you follow the trail up and go left to the cemetary thats where the mine is if you go right at the cemetary sign you will find the town area where you can find some building foundations. we didnt find any other structures but it was a great hike we will do again.
