Just 3 cars at the trailhead at 10am. The road was generously potholed, not entirely even, and narrow in places.
Hiked past Beaver Plant Lake and Upper Ashland Lake down to Lower Ashland Lake, where we had lunch before heading back out.
No issues with the trail, but past the first 3/4 mile, rocks, roots, and 3D boardwalks kept our attention.
All lakes had nice, established campsites, as well as plastic outhouses.
Some fall colors, but blueberries were gone.

So they airlift the outhouses in, then back out again when they're full? Seems like a lot of trouble, but I guess it's better than poop all over the place. I predict this one is going to get a lot more popular...

I suspect the outhouses are pit toilets (despite the honey-bucket-like appearance), but didn't investigate up close...
