Weldon Wagon Road — Tuesday, Sep. 26, 2017

Southwest Washington > Columbia River Gorge - WA

This was a enjoyable hike on a beautiful sunny day. We made it slightly more than 3 miles round trip; we turned around at the sign as my hiking partner is getting back in shape. The road is practically pristine, and the trail is in great condition too. It's a steady, gradual climb on a mostly exposed hillside. There are plenty of trees to look at but not much shade falling on the trail. Poison oak aplenty, and we spotted a few lizards too. Spot Mt Hood to the south when you are close to the sign.
