All the larches were white today and there were no views. One blue spot on the sky flirted with us and as we descended early afternoon it looked brighter. Snow started at the trailhead at 9:30 and by the time we reached the pass it was a few inches deep. Trail was still navigable and easy without traction devices. All streams were easily hopped across.
i don't think the snow will last with the predicted sunshine this week. but if it gets cold at night it might be icy on a morning ascent.

The larch with snow on it tells the story. Very nice image. Thanks for posting as I am headed up there up there in a couple days.
