As I was a resident of Toledo Washington when this mountain erupted the area will always hold a special place in my heart. My older brothers used to do odd jobs at Mt. St. Helens lodge for Mr. Truman in the early seventies. So obviously when I learned their was hiking trails all along this area it suddenly hit me that I have to do them all. So we started with Norway pass and then we decided on Harry's ridge we didn't make it to the very top but it looked like there was some kind of marker at the top. gonna have to do it again for sure. it was so beautiful not to mention the two elk herds we encountered.

I lived on Kangas Rd. in the seventies. The last time I hiked the Mt. Margaret Loop was probably about 1979. I loved that area. Cool post, for sure.
