FR57 is open and in good condition to the trailhead.
The first portion of the trail, (from the trailhead to the major stream crossing) is very cobbly. There is one downed tree, easily crossed.
The stream crossing can be challenging, especially when the water is high. Poles are a help for balancing your way across.
A short way above the stream crossing, the trail crosses open slopes, heading towards a ridge line. Here, the trail is overgrown with bracken. The foot tread is in good condition, but the bracken would benefit from brushing out.
We encountered recent snow from just below the ridgeline to the summit, but the trail was easy to follow

Foursies on Bare Mountain
Thank you for the report! This is one of my favorite hikes, but I haven’t had time to check on the roads.
