Boardman Lake — Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017

As others have mentioned, the road up is full of large potholes, but it's just bumpy in a an SUV. Probably passable for a sedan, but with all the water, depth was hard to tell. The trail was rough as well. With the recent rain, most of it was an active stream bed and erosion has washed away a lot of the soil around roots, rocks and man-made water bars, making for some tricky footing for me with bad knees and my toddler with short legs! The lakes were both beautiful in the rain and we enjoyed sitting on one of the many convenient downed trees on the beach to eat our lunch, and the sun made an appearance.
