Hiked on October 30th - trail is in great shape, virtually no snow. The road to the parking lot was a bit of a mess but my average Subaru Impreza made it. There are a few tight gaps where logs have fallen, nothing crazy.
No need for any hiking gear but some good shoes and a camera. Birds and squirrels were out but saw no goats at that elevation - maybe next time.
